\nA push handle can be equipped if this is required. There are two types of push bars to currently choose from, a one handed pushbar and a two handed pushbar. Both are simply adjustable in height and angle and also easy to fold backwards. \n

In building the wheelchair and the choice of the right (customized) seat and back, we spend a lot of time to achieve the most optimal seating position. \nAs soon as this has been found, it is important to maintain this position. \nTherefore, the application of one or more positioning means may be necessary. Our wide choice of fixation products offer a solution here and offer optimal comfort. \nThe perfect support for both the upper body and the right support of the pelvis. Also position means for ankles and feet are available. All Veldink4kids wheelchair \npositioning means are easy to adjust and are made of comfortable, breathable, fabrics for maximum comfort. \nClick on one of the choices below ( bars) for more information.

Seats
\nAdapt is designed to work with any seating system, including our own, Spex, Jay, Versa Inserto, or any number of moulded inserts, creating a robust and visually appealing alternative to the agricultural products traditionally offered for this client base.. \n \n \nAll our Kiddo Seats are always manufactured to the measurements of the child. An optimal seating position for every child and a good functionality of the \nwheelchair is one of the most important tasks for Veldink4kids. And an optimal seating support is for each child differently. for that reason every seat \ncushion is made individually and there is a wide choice of options and configurations. Possibly expanded with additional seat and body supporting accessories. \nStandard seat cushions are equipped with a 2-layer foam system for optimum pressure distribution and comfort. The seat can be upholstered with different \nfabrics. For example, the spacermesh black fabric, black stamskin, or black neopreen. Also inlays (covers) for incontinence protection are available. \nStandard, the cushions are upholstered with black spacermesh (breathable fabric) with Cordura finished edges. \n \n
- Anatomic \nThe most chosen seat model! Our anatomically shaped seat that ensures proper posture and good pressure distribution.

- Ergo Seat \nFor children who tend to slide forward the ergo seat can be of great help. Due to the lowered seating part the child can maintain a correct seating position.

- Wedge Removable \nThe removable abduction wedge (pommel) prevent abduction of the legs. The abduction pommel is mounted underneath the seat and can easily be removed if needed.
\n \n
- Wedge Foldable \nThe swing-away abduction wedge (pommel) prevent abduction of the legs. The abduction pommel is integrated in the seat cushion and can be easily folded down, if needed.

Other Seat cushions modifications:
\nSeat with tailbone recess: This seat has a deepened and soft section below the tailbone and provides protection against pressure sores. In addition to comfort, \nthis also helps prevent the user from sliding forwards, which means that the pelvis stays to the rear where it is properly supported. \n \nLeg lenght difference: Can be used as desired both leftside or rightside, at the front of the seat. \n \nSeat provided with memory foam: The seat can be fitted with a top layer of memory foam. This gives extra comfort and relieves pressure points. Memory foam reacts to body heat. \nThe foam will therefore be softer and smoother where your body is warmer. This will relieve your pressure points. \n \n \n
Backrests

Backs
\nFor the correct positioning and optimal support a perfect backrest is of great importance. That is why the choice of backrest is entirely individual and completely \nadjusted to the users needs. The one piece (custom made) backrest is the most chosen backrest. It's anatomically shaped with or without integrated side supports and \nupholstered with breathable fabric (black spacermesh finisched with Cordura edges). \nThe back cushions can be upholstered with different fabrics. For example, the spacermesh black fabric, black stamskin, or black neopreen. The Kiddo Classic and Tilt \ncan be provided with a Tarta Wheelchair Backrest \nStandard, all the cushions are upholstered with black spacer-mesh (breathable fabric) with Cordura finished edges. For other backrests and side supports look below. \n \n
- Separated Back Pads \nErgonomics was the starting point in the development of our two piece split back. Like two hands wich support the back, each part is perfect adjustable. The PU (black) foam pad is available in three sizes. Size S, M & L.

- Two Piece Split \nThe custom made split back parts (with integrated side support) are upholstered with black spacermesh fabric. Ergonomics was the starting point in the development of our two piece split back. \nLike two hands wich support the back, each part is perfect adjustable.

- One Piece Anatomic \nOne piece back (anatomicaly shaped) upholstered with black spacermesh fabric and fully tailored to the child. For additional support and safety this back can be equipped with fixed or \nswing away side supports. They are adjustable in height and width for optimal positioning. The swing away system can also swing away from the side cushion up to 180 degrees. \n

- One Piece Side Support (Laterals) \nWhen more support is needed! One piece back with integrated side support (deep contour), upholstered with black spacermesh fabric and fully tailored to the child.

Wheels & Hoops

\n \nAll our wheelchairs are equipped with spoked rear wheels ( size 20 "22" 24 "or 26") with black tyres. The rear wheels are quick and easy to disassemble using the quick-release axles. For tires, \nthere is a choice of pneumatic 'air' tyres or black solid PU leak proof tyres. As an option can also be chosen for our 'outdoor' tire. The Outdoor Schwalbe Road Cruiser \nis functional on rough terrain and gives a cool look! (all sizes available, 20" 22" 24" of 26") \n
Ergo Grip hoops
\nVeldink hoops are synonymous to ERGO grip hoops! The most popular hoops on all of our wheelchair models. We came up with a design that is in line with the anatomy of the hand! Moreover, \nwe use a material that is softer, and has better non-slip and heat insulating properties. This material (polyurethane) is highly resistant to impact, abrasion and puncturing by obstacles. \n \nAluminum Hoops instead of Ergo Grip? \nOf course, if desired, we can replace the standard Veldink4kids Ergo Grip hoops with ordinary aluminum hoops. These aluminum hoops can be equiped with a spacer to the rim. And can also be fitted with tetra controls knobs. \n \n

\n \nThe Base \nThe base Adapt will be delivered with 20”, 22", 24" or 26" rear wheels, drum brakes, 6” rubber front wheels, adjustable anti-tipping brackets, a tilting system from -5 to 45 degrees, sides including mudguards and an angle adjustable backtube. From this base, you simply choose the necessary upgrades or additional additional options that we have available as standard. \n \nBelow you will find a number of highlighted options that are available especially for the Adapt. Hip Belts
\n
The right hip belt ensures a good posture and thus ensures better functionality. Hip belts help prevent slumping of the user in the wheelchair. \nThere can be chosen for a 2 -point hip belt which is attached to the wheelchair at 2 points or a 4 -point hip belt. The 4 -point belt is attached \nto the wheelchair at four points and keep the pelvis tighter if this is desired.

By default, the belts are equipped with a side closure buckle. However, it is also possible to execute this with other closure buckles. \nSee the pictures below.

\n \nPELVI-loc 3D-belt \nAll our wheelchairs can be provided with a Pelviloc fixation system. The pelvic pads are 3 - dimensional shape, for optimum fixation of the pelvis without pressure on the spine anterior superior. \nFormed shape with ultra thin end at the moulded seat fixing point to avoid lateral pressure marks at the pelvis. Prevents lateral pressure points on the pelvis. The ratchet will run in addition to a strap to prevent injuries. \n \n
Chest Harness
\n
- \nChest Harnesses
\nIf an additional support is desired may be selected for a breast fixation (chest harness). The chest harness ensure that children are properly held against the backrest. \nThe vests can be performed with both flexible straps and solid straps . The straps on the flexible implementation are elastic and therefore flexible (give). Additionally, you can choose between a male and a female model. It is also possible to extend the harness with a zipper in the middle of the harness and the standard side closure buckles can be replaced with other closures. \n
\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \nBy default, the harnesses are equipped with a side closure buckle. However, it is also possible to execute this with other closure buckles. See the pictures above. \n
\n \nSpacer bar on headrest for correct mounting of chest harnesses \nFor an optimal positioning of the various vests a special spacer bar can be mounted on the headrest system. This may affect the shoulder straps better positioned over the shoulders! \n

Groin Harness
\nGroin harnesses \nA groin harness prevents a child sink into the wheelchair. The groin harness can be performed with both flexible straps as solid straps. The straps on the \nflexible model are elastic and therefore flexible (give). In addition, you may opt for a T-model or a Y-model. The Y-model allows for any abduction. All the models are equipped with side closures for easy and quick loosening. \n

Foot and Ankle Straps
\nFoot- & Ankle fixation \n \nFor the correct positioning of the ankle and feet, there are several options available. Loose straps for both the instep and forefoot are available \nand are mounted on the base footplate or footrest. There can be selected for a Velcro closure or a toothed buckle closure. In addition, \na ankle hugger (fixation) (image at the right) may optionally be mounted with a Velcro or a buckle closure. \n

Headrest (system)
\nOur different types of headrests provide optimal head position combined with the right support. The headrest is adjustable in angle, height and depth. Of course we do, if desired, completely custom made headrests. \nOur own Veldink4kids fastening system (RVS) is easily adjustable and makes the headrest easy to adjust to the right position and desired lenght. \nBy choosing for a stainless steel embodiment, the strength and the position is assured. Thus the headrest can be adjusted properly and will always remain good. The system is mounted on the back of the seat and is removable. \n \n \nSpacer Bar on headrest for correct mounting of the chest harnesses (see picture at the right)! \n \n

\nThe headrest system is mounted on the back of the seats. \n \nThis headrest model is available in 2 sizes. Size 1: 34w x 13h CM & Size 2: 30w x 11h CM \n
Tray (system)
\nIndividually configurable to the needs of the user in different materials. Our standard trayss are made of 5mm transparent impact-resistant polycarbonate and \nfeatures three curved edges. Of course you can order a custom made tray in the shape you want with and without edges. These may be performed in 5mm or 8mm thickness \nof polycarbonate or gray trespa. Different extra options available such as, toy arch, different padding options and design print on work tray. \nSystem 1 & 2: \nThe work trays are provided with a double attachment tube to be mounted under the two armrests (horizontal type 1 & 2). This system is easy to adjust in depth and lockable. \n The swing-away version can be mounted both left and right. System 1 & 2 is only available for the Kiddo Tilt, Classic and Xperienz! \n \nSystem 3: \nType 3 is a removable plug-in system in which the double tubes are placed at the top in the collecting tubes. This system is designed for the Kiddo Up and \nKiddo Space but it can also be mounted on all the other Kiddo models if desired! \n \n

One-arm-drive systems
\n
Children with hemiparesis or tetraparesis, one arm significantly less power and functionality than the other, often tend to do many things one handed. \nSpecial for these children, we offer two different facilities. This is a double hoop and a Hemi handlebar grip.

Hemi handle bar
\n
For hemiplegic children a steering handle can be fitted to the basic model (left or right). Children with spastic hemiplegia generally tend not to use the affected side. \nHowever, we still attempt to exercise the affected arm in a functional manner using a steering handle. If there is contact between the hand and the steering handle, \nwhich changes position in line with the direction, then the hand will also move. This 'forced' movement is actually a sensor-motor function exercise, which may result \nin an improved function of that side. Furthermore, the symmetrical pattern can be advanced.

Dooble Hoop

The double hoop drive ensures that the child can steer and propel the wheelchair with one arm. The wheels are driven by an central shaft which is disposed \nin the transverse tube of the frame. An extra push hoop can be fitted to the wheelchair wheels on the left or right hand side. If desired, the band brakes can also be provided with a one-handed operation.
